Have you tried kombucha yet? It’s a slightly sweet and fizzy fermented drink with lots of health benefits for you. Great for gut health, the probiotics of this fizz-filled tea can work a lot of magic.
Not all kombucha tastes the same though. It may take some time to find a kombucha that you would actually like. With so many choices though, how can you be sure you choose one that doesn’t make you want to quit after the first sip?
That’s why we’ve got the lowdown for you on 3 kombucha brands we absolutely love and why (plus where you can find them!).
1. KeVita Master Brew
If you’ve never tasted kombucha before, KeVita is a good one to get indoctrinated with. The flavors are easy to warm up to with things like raspberry lemon and pineapple peach that taste fruity and sweet. They contain stevia rather than sugar too which is good to know. We find this brand of kombucha incredibly approachable on flavor, and the price (about $3) makes it easy to afford. You should be able to find KeVita at any supermarket, Walmart, or Target.
2. GT’s Living Food
One of the most popular kombucha brands on the market is GT’s Living Food. Believe it or not, it’s been around for over 20 years. They’re definitely doing something right and are one of the reasons why kombucha jumped into the mainstream limelight. The Gingerade flavor has a really nice balance of fizziness with ginger and acidity. Expect to pay about $3.50 per 16.2-ounce bottle. Because it’s a commercial kombucha brand, it’s one of the easier-to-find ones at your local supermarket.
3. Health-Ade Kombucha
Health-Ade Kombucha is so light, sweet, and effervescent, you’ll wonder why you didn’t try kombucha sooner. If you have a big soda habit, they can easily replace it by delighting your palate with a nice fizz. You may even want to replace beer with it (after all, kombucha does have a slight alcohol content). Every flavor is easy to drink and enjoy, though we are particularly fond of the grape, maca-berry, and apple varieties. We wholeheartedly love it, though they are a bit more costly at $5 per bottle. Target and Walmart carry Health-Ade Kombucha, but in the absence of those (or if you live in a place where kombucha hasn’t caught on), you can always order it from the website.
Kombucha might seem like a health fad, but GT’s Living Food is proof it’s not just another health food craze. These 3 brands of kombucha make it easy to take a taste, one that might just make you a full-time believer in this healthy, nutritious drink!
