Japanese Sesame Spinach Salad (Hourensou no Goma ae)

This classic Japanese salad pairs perfectly with a steamy bowl of rice and/or a perfectly grilled fillet of salmon. It's super healthy and only takes 3 ingredients! Made extra easy with Mekhala Organic Roasted Sesame Garlic Dressing & Sauce.




A super healthy lunch option!



Ingredients (Serves 1)

Marinade:

2-3 tbsp (10-15ml) of Mekhala Organic Roasted Sesame Garlic Dressing

3.5oz spinach (100g) (baby spinach or kale works just as well)

Sesame seeds (for garnishing)


Method

  1. Blanch spinach in hot water until wilted.

  2. Drain spinach and add Mekhala Organic Roasted Sesame Garlic Dressing.

  3. Salt to taste.

  4. Garnish with sesame seeds.

  5. Serve and enjoy!
